The Process

FIMO Metallic Silver, Mint, and White
Our process starts by fully conditioning the clay.  This is when each custom color grouping is selected. The image to the left shows a custom color group used directly from the package. Other color groups are created by either dying or mixing clay.

Each color set, then,  becomes its own series. Similar to a dye lot, once the series is used up, clay will have to be dyed once more and an exact match cannot be guaranteed. Each series can have multiple items, you will know which pieces match based on the series name.

After the colors are determined, the clay is molded into different mosaic, floral, and geometric patterns. This is primarily done through the use of polymer canes, although other methods may be used as well.

These canes are used to form the desired piece. To form a hair slide, the canes are sliced in about 1/8" slices, using a very sharp tissue blade. The slices are then laid flat and hand-rolled. The hand rolling is important because it allows ultimate control in how the finished piece will look. Once the slices appear to bed properly fused together, I begin placing the sheet through the pasta machine. I start on number 9 and work my way down to a number 3, turning the piece and inserting in a different direction at each notch down. That sheet is then laid on a solid base of clay and trimmed.

The image to right shows three hair slides that just finished baking. Their next stop with be to the sanding and glazing table.

After that, they are ready to be shipped. The image to the left shows hair slides and necklaces all packaged up and ready for their new homes.

Most pieces are unique and WILL NOT be recreated (if a piece is meant to be duplicated, it will be clearly noted in the item description). This ensures that your piece is truly yours alone.

That being said, if you see something you like, act fast!

The current line offers three different types of statement jewelry pieces.
  1. Pendants - classic jewelry
  2. Hair Slides - hair jewlery
  3. Wine Charms - stemware jewelry
Items are made from polymer clay, which not only creates a stunning finished piece, it also creates an extremely durable one.

We rely on our customers; and therefore, want them to completely satisfied. If that is not the case, we will gladly accept returned merchandise and refund the purchase price.

Check back often, as new pieces are added almost daily! If you have any questions or suggestions, we are just an email away! :)
